The latest production from the young stars at Howick Dance Studio will entertain audiences
over two days later this month.
The school is staging the ballet Coppelia at the Hawkins Theatre in Papakura on
June 28-29.
“The ballet has been choreographed by our senior dancers, who have been working on it
since February,” studio principal Sharon Barber says.
“They range in age from five years old to their mid-20s.
“Almost 100 Howick students are involved in this classic ballet story and they’ve been
rehearsing every Sunday since March.”
Tickets are available in the studio’s upstairs ballet shop at 3/121 Elliot Street, Howick, on
Wednesdays from 5pm-7pm, Saturdays 10am to 12pm, and Sundays during rehearsals, or
phone 021 725 180.
They cost $30 for adults, $25 for students, $20 for seniors, and $20 for children aged under 14.
- The ballet is performed at Hawkins Theatre, 13 Ray Small Drive, Papakura.
