Winning runs are underway at the New Zealand Bloodstock (NZB) Karaka Sales Centre.
The National Weanling Sale has developed a catalogue of 140 high quality young thoroughbreds by some of New Zealand’s best stallions. From 11am today, they go under the hammer.
The sale is a proven source of racing stock, confirms NZB’s bloodstock sales manager Kane Jones.
“The catalogue features the same commercial quality you would expect at the National Yearling Sale, which provides a fantastic opportunity for pinhookers [buying for resale] as well as for investors,” he says.
“There are a number of high-profile sires featured which is a huge drawcard, as well as a first glimpse of progeny by first season sires Chaldean, Hilal, Mr Mozart and Paddington. We’ve been supported by a number of leading vendors and top New Zealand breeders, with a rare chance to buy into Karaka-quality weanlings.”
All weanlings in the sale are eligible to be nominated for NZB’s Karaka Millions Series.
While the sale will take place online, buyers are able to attend at the Karaka Sales Centre. Weanlings have been available for inspections at on-farm parades in June and at the centre itself. NZB agents are available to inspect on behalf of buyers.
