A police officer has been injured following a crash involving two police vehicles on State Highway 22 this morning.
Counties Manukau District Commander Superintendent Shanan Gray said an investigation is underway into a crash involving two police vehicles at around 10.38am on Karaka Road (State Highway 22).
“One officer has suffered moderate injuries and was transported to hospital. It’s very fortunate that injuries were not more severe.
“An investigation will now be carried out into the crash, and as part of this the Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.”
State Highway 22 (Karaka Road) was closed between Blackbridge Road and Glenbrook Road, reopening before 2pm.
