A Tuakau street was cordoned off this morning as armed police took a man into custody.
Police arrived at a Tauroa Drive address this morning seeking a man who had warrants for his arrest.
A 29-year-old man is now in custody.
A police spokesman said the Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) were deployed to assist other police staff this morning.
“Initially the man would not engage with police staff and the address was cordoned.
“He has since been taken into custody without further incident following assistance from AOS.”
