A man was left unconscious after allegedly being assaulted by several people in Auckland.
Counties Manukau West Police area response manager, Senior Sergeant Steve Albrey, says: “Police are continuing to investigate an assault on a man in Mount Wellington on Tuesday night.
“At around 7.26pm, a man was located unconscious on a footpath on Meadow Street.
“He was initially transported to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, but is now stable.
“Last night, police took two people in the nearby area into custody.
“The pair will be referred to Youth Aid. Enquiries are continuing into how last night’s events occurred.
“If anyone can assist our enquiries, they can update police online or call 105 using the reference number 250902/2332.”
