A new bus service between Clarks Beach and Papakura Station is the latest in network expansions intended to keep Franklin on the move.
Ahead of the opening of the new Paerata, Drury and Ngakoroa rail stations, and the City Rail Link, Auckland Transport (AT) is developing its Franklin bus network. New and improved services will connect with the stations, schools and town centres.
The new 379 service, which launches on Sunday (April 19), includes stops at Waiau Pa, Kingseat, Te Hihi and Karaka.
At Papakura Station, customers can then transfer to other AT buses and trains.
The existing 396 bus service between Waiuku and Pukekohe will start running to an improved timetable with buses running hourly – 6am until 8:30pm, seven days a week.
From April 20, the 395 (running between Waiuku and Papakura Station on weekdays) will also pick up the pace. Buses will leave Waiuku at 5:20am, 6:20am and 7:20am and Papakura Station at 5:33pm, 6:33pm and 7:33pm.
When Paerata Station opens later this year, the 395 will be rerouted to connect Waiuku, Glenbrook and Paerata Station.
