Police were seen searching a vehicle in a Pukekohe carpark yesterday following an aggravated robbery investigation.
Three officers were observed searching a blue Toyota Corolla hatchback in the Massey Ave carpark on March 12.
The 34-year-old male driver of the vehicle was already in Police custody, along with another man. Both have been charged with aggravated robbery.
Court documents show the pair allegedly robbed a man of $2,100 on March 1.
The driver, who lives in east Auckland, appeared in Manukau District Court yesterday charged in relation to the incident. He is due to reappear in April. It is not known whether a plea was entered.
Aggravated robbery carries a maximum penalty of 14 years’ imprisonment.
It’s not the first time Police have been called to the Massey Ave carpark.

On January 19 this year, five Police units attended the location following a family harm incident. Officers remained at the scene for several hours.
A woman was taken into police custody following the incident.
