Delays remain on State Highway 22 between Drury and Pukekohe following a serious two-vehicle crash near Karaka this afternoon.
Police said one person is in a critical condition and two others were trapped in a vehicle following a two-car crash on State Highway 22 around 2.25pm.
SH22/Karaka Road was closed between Blackbridge Road and the Glenbrook roundabout, with diversions in place north of the crash at the Karaka Road and Great South Road junction also. The road reopened around 5pm.
The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.
Police advise motorists to expect delays in the area. State Highway 1 had long queues at the Bombay off-ramp, although traffic was starting to ease by 6pm.
