Pukekohe Christian School’s annual school gala is back this Saturday, promising a fun time for everyone.
The gala is held each March and helps the community feel a sense of togetherness and is one of the school’s biggest fundraisers, organisers say.
“Our gala day is one of the highlights of our school calendar, bringing together school families, local Franklin businesses, and the community for a day filled with rides, food, entertainment, and auctions. It’s always a fantastic atmosphere — full of laughter, fun, and connection,” said a spokesperson for the Friends of Pukekohe Christian School (PCS).
Friends of PCS is made up of parents who volunteer to help staff and support the school in any way they can. This includes fundraising, making and maintaining positive connections with parents and the school staff.

There will be a range of food, including sausage sizzles, hot chips, and pizza. The gala includes a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. An auction will be available, and people can pick up a bargain at a garage sale selling children’s books and toys.
“We have a fantastic selection of auction items this year, thanks to many generous businesses.
There’s something for everyone — items for the kids, vouchers for fun experiences and family days out, goodies for the gardener, pamper hampers and early Mother’s Day ideas, plus some extra special items like a photography session and even a vacuum cleaner.”
Pony rides, face painting, a vertical bungy, an inflatable adrenaline maze, and a chocolate toss will also be on hand to entertain children.
All funds raised go back to the school to develop the school hall and benefit the students.
This year marks the school’s 30th anniversary, and celebrations include speeches from past students, a cutting of a cake and some special school performances throughout March.
- The gala will be held on Saturday, March 28, at Pukekohe Christian School, 82 Yates Road, Pukekohe, from 9am to 2pm.
