For one night only, New Zealand artist Rosie and international performer Maggie Cocco will perform at the Onewhero Society of Performing Arts (OSPA).
Their music focuses on resilience, gratitude, and the beauty that is only found when people face the challenges life throws at us. Both are established artists who are guaranteed to mix their respective styles to deliver something special on the night.
Maggie Cocco’s career has seen her recognised as a musician, composer, educator, and performer around the world. Originally from Metro Detroit, she is now based in the South Island and is known for her experimental work blending music with interactive performances.
One example is Science for Sociopaths, which has been described as a “evocative theatrical art pop project delving deep into themes of systemic and interpersonal trauma wounds and connection.”
Known professionally by her stage name Rosie, the second half of the duo is a New Zealand songwriter and singer, whose songwriting has been described as “authentic, heartfelt, and relatable.
Her songs explore themes of finding hope in the face of extreme hardship and through self-reflection. Audience feedback has often described her work as uplifting and inspiring to listen to.
“Grit & Gratitude is a celebration of music’s power to carry us through hard times and remind us of what matters most,” says OSPA.
The concert is on tonight, November 1, starting at 7.30pm at 14 Hall Road, Onewhero.
