Pokeno crash – one dead, two injured

A person has died as the result of a crash near Pokeno earlier this evening. Two others have been injured, one critically and one moderately.

The crash, involving three vehicles on the Waikato Expressway, was reported just before 7pm, police confirm.

The expressway has been closed southbound between Great South Road and Pioneer Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
