A man in a Merc’ is in custody related to his rush hour driving near Drury earlier this evening.
Police began receiving complaints just before 5pm, Senior Sergeant Dave Readings confirms.
“It was reported the Mercedes-Benz was swerving across southbound lanes, and narrowly avoided hitting several vehicles on the motorway.”
Police stopped the vehicle south of the Papakura on-ramp, near Drury, The driver and a passenger are in custody and police enquiries are ongoing.
“We acknowledge those motorists who called 111 this evening so that we could prevent any harm from occurring,” Readings adds.
