Investigations are underway regarding the shooting of 18 pet goats on a property on Ridge Road, Pokeno overnight on April 13.
The animals were inhumanly shot in a fenced paddock and the carcasses were all left on site, Detective Senior Sergeant Natalie Nelson says.
“We are appealing to the public for any information in relation to this incident. There will be people in the community who know who is responsible for this and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
It is highly likely that the those responsible had a dog with them, Nelson says.
Witnesses, or anyone with more information, should contact police on 105, either online or over the phone using reference number 260414/7001.
