
Newly elected regional councillor Gary McGuire has won the largest number of votes in the Waikato constituency, ousting chair Pamela Storey, who placed third.
McGuire received 8508 votes, compared with Storey’s 5898.
Incumbent Noel Smith received the second-highest number of votes (6809) in the Waikato constituency, retaining his seat.
