A newly built charity home in Karaka is back on the market after a previous sale fell through, giving buyers a second chance to fund life-changing mentoring for boys growing up without fathers in their lives.
All gross profits from the sale of the four-bedroom home at 9 Suffolk Downs Road, Karaka, will go directly to Big Buddy to provide boys with positive male role models.
G.J. Gardner Homes Papakura built the home as part of its ongoing support of Big Buddy.
A spokesperson for Big Buddy said the home originally went to auction in November and received a conditional offer, “which has unfortunately not proceeded”. That means the opportunity has reopened for someone to purchase a beautiful, brand-new home while making a meaningful difference.
South Auckland currently has more boys waiting for a Big Buddy than any other region, with over 90 boys nationwide waiting to be matched with a mentor.
This is the fifth G.J. Gardner Homes Charity Build supporting Big Buddy – a remarkable legacy of giving that continues to change lives.
Now, Big Buddy is hoping the right buyer will step forward.
Big Buddy co-chief executive Christie Stuart says the opportunity is about more than just buying a beautiful new home.
“It’s a chance for someone to make a lasting difference to the lives of boys who simply need a good man in their corner. Volunteer mentors spend a few hours each week with their Little Buddy, building confidence, resilience and connection.”
Since 2016, G.J. Gardner Homes has been a foundation partner for Big Buddy, helping change the lives of boys without dads in their lives by doing what they do best – building homes.
The home is available for viewing now through Ray White Karaka, and is priced by negotiation.
