Although at least six people were injured in a crash in Puni, none have required hospitalisation, Hato Hone St John has now confirmed.
‘One ambulance responded to the scene. Our ambulance staff assessed six patients at the scene, all in minor conditions. No patients required transport to hospital,’ a statement reads.
As reported earlier, police advised that the seven people had sustained minor injuries in a collision at the intersection with Rowles Road. All three cars involved required towing from the site.
Extensive roadworks have been undertaken from the corner with West Street and along Waiuku Road recently. However, police could not confirm whether or not the works contributed to the collision.
Police are investigating but can not provide further information at this time. The Times will provide an update when possible.
