A family including children have escaped a large house fire in Papakura, the Times understands.
Firefighters have quelled the blaze on Gibbs Crescent, Red Hill which broke out in the early house of this morning.
Appliances and personnel from Papakura, Manurewa, Otara and Papatoetoe attended.
A fire investigator has been on site.
